The bicycle festival in Barcelona

After two years without an edition due to the COVID crisis, the Bicycle Festival returns to Barcelona on 19 June. The aim of this festival is to promote the importance and growth of an efficient, clean and sustainable means of transport: the bicycle. Among other things, the city of Barcelona has made numerous efforts to improve and facilitate users’ journeys, doubling the number of kilometres of cycle lanes between 2015 and today. The city now has 240 kilometres of cycle lanes running through the city from one side to the other.

The event will take place on Passeig de Lluís Companys, where there will be a fair of organisations and companies. Their aim is to present their products and equipment, and there will be circuits to try them out. There will also be areas for children with activities, raffles and exhibitions.

Cycling enthusiasts and lovers will be able to ride around Barcelona during the traditional “Bike Ride” where they can pedal through L’Eixample, Ciutat Vella and Sant Martí.
